Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2016 National SAF Convention, held in Madison, WI, a great success!!! The 2017 National SAF Convention will be held in Albuquerque, NM November 15-19, 2017.

The “online site” link that is on the 2016 National SAF Convention is still active and current. It will take you to the National SAF website so that link can still be used.

The 2016 national SAF convention in Madison is coming soon and, as of the “early bird” deadline, 1,239 people have registered to attend.  Even though the “early bird” registration deadline has passed, you are encouraged to register if you have not already done so at the online site.
 
Two program changes have been announced. The companion tour to Horicon Marsh and the Cottonville Fire technical tour have been cancelled.  All other tours are still a go and guides will be getting the numbers for each tour.
 
Wisconsin SAF will be providing a forestry calendar to each registrant in their welcome packet.  The DNR Division of Forestry is producing this 2017 calendar and we were able to add onto the order for a nominal cost.  We’ll be adding a sticker that states it is a gift from Wisconsin SAF.
 
A big thank-you to all who have already volunteered to help at the convention.  There are still opportunities available to lend a hand.  The executive committee will have either armbands or vests available for volunteers to wear so they are easily identified.  If you’re able to volunteer at the convention, please sign up as directed here.
