The 2016 Northern Regional Meeting (PDF) by the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI) will be held on May 4-5 at the Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau. Over the two days, much of the forestry meeting will focus on results from the Wisconsin Forest Practices Study, a collaborative project addressing wood supply, costs, and impacts of management restrictions in the state. The meeting will also address topics related to bat habitat in Minnesota forests, the role of young forests for breeding bird populations, and the U.S. Forest Carbon Accounting Framework. For more information, contact John A. Beebe. The meeting has been approved by SAF for 8.5 (Cat. 1) Continuing Forestry Education credits.
