Ralph G. Swanson was visited at his Minocqua residence for his 100th birthday. Along with his family, members of WI SAF, Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association, and Forest History Association enjoyed cake and company at COVID-19 conscious distances with the WWII veteran and longtime employee of Consolidated Papers, Inc. After his retirement in 1985 he received an SAF Fellowship and John Macon Award due to his many contributions to the people and forestry of the northwoods.
