Gordon Landphier

Gordon Landphier was the Chief State Forest Ranger from 1974 to 1987 for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. His leadership and innovation created a new paradigm and doctrine for Wisconsin’s forest fire management program. These revolutionary changes in fire suppression tactics and training have stood the test of time, been adopted nationally and are a testament to the quality of Gordy’s leadership skills.
